Reviews Summary
Guests rave about The Standard London's unique 70s-inspired design, vibrant atmosphere, and stunning views from its rooftop and Decimo restaurant. The spacious rooms, especially suites with terraces, and excellent breakfast are frequently praised. However, some visitors have experienced issues with check-in delays, noise from the bar, and inconsistent application of loyalty program benefits.
"We stayed at The Standard as an extension to our wedding weekend in a Studio Suite. Incredible room and experience all around.
The check in was super friendly and we were a little early so they kept our bags and transported them up to our room whilst we went out for some lunch.
The room itself is very decadent with a freestanding bath and loads of nice little design touches. We particularly liked the rain macs that were available to use, very smart in London winter. Bed was massive and incredibly comfy.
We had a drink in the bar and loved the vibe, also enjoyed the Bookmarc by Marc Jacobs bit. It's just a fun design led hotel.
Breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we can remember. Great quality and abundant.
Unfortunately in the excitement of getting back from our wedding I lost the bit of paper I had written down the names of the checkout team and concierge/baggage guy (Dan maybe) but The Standard if you read this please check who was on at 12:15pm on Monday 15th December '25 as they were all top class and a credit to your hotel.
Would definitely recommend a stay here, good vibes all round."

"First off, when we arrived at the hotel, no one helped us with the bags. Moving on, when we tried to check in at around 3:40pm, they told us they needed 15 mins to make up the room. (Check in time was at 3pm, mind you) We waited and they then told us it would be another 45 mins. We had dinner plans so we couldn’t waste our time waiting. (At the same time they had guests coming in saying they tried checking in in the morning but still couldn’t get their room after 3pm). The staff had been apologetic enough and offered us compensation. But we told them we only wanted a room to freshen up before dinner and a place to spend a quiet night before we fly early the next morning.
As there’s nothing they couldn’t have done, we left the hotel, and as we got on the tube they called and told us the room is suddenly ready. (It was 10 mins after we left the hotel).
Anywho, they put us in a room on the 9th floor as an apology, a nicely decorated room which we couldn’t be enjoy much because we were only spending a night. The most hysterical (almost comical) part is since the bar is a floor above us, we can hear the pumping loud music in the bedroom. All we asked for was a quiet room to spend a quick night in and catch our flight early in the morning.
Overall, it was a real mess and really doesn’t worth the visit.
The location is… fine. But that’s the only decent thing about it."

"This is my de-facto hotel of choice in London as a Hyatt Globalist. It’s a gorgeous brutalist property that has been lovingly restored so that it feels like you are walking into a 70s technocolor midcentury modern dreams. I was upgraded to a studio suite with terrace just because my room wasn’t ready at check-in. You rarely get these kinds of thoughtful gestures anymore. The studio is a misnomer as it’s as spacious as any one bedroom suite. It also comes with an outdoor bathtub and a terrace overlooking either St Pancreas or the city skyline. If you are able to afford it I would go for this room configuration but know that they also send discounted e-offers after booking if there’s availability. Everyone at the hotel is welcoming and gracious and I want to especially thank the front desk staff for their generosity and thoughtfulness"
