Planning Your Visit

Book Ahead for Peak Times

Sessions are timed, and popular slots, especially weekends and holidays, can sell out. Booking online in advance is highly recommended to secure your spot and avoid disappointment. Consider off-peak times for a less crowded experience.

Understand Session Lengths

Visits are typically limited to 2-hour sessions. While this is enough for many, if you're a big thrill-seeker or have very young children who tire easily, factor this into your planning. Arrive a little early to make the most of your time.

Reviews Summary

Visitors generally praise The Wave for its exciting slides, large wave pool, and family-friendly atmosphere, making it a fun day out for all ages. However, some find it can get overcrowded during peak times, leading to long queues, and the on-site cafe can be a letdown with limited options and long waits.

"We decided to take a trip to Coventry on Sunday and experience The Wave which is a fully enclosed waterpark.
Having pre-booked the check was very simple.
We were all given wristbands which after a bit of fiddling managed to open the lockers in the changing village.
You first walking past The Reef which is themed for smaller children and has slides, tipping bucket and water jets.
Then you have a choice of the wave pool which is the largest in the UK or the smooth flowing lazy river.
The other option is choosing one of the 6 flumes on offer with three of them riding on inflatables.
Unfortunately on the the day we visited The Torrent was not available!
The Wave is well staffed and all are polite and helpful.
We parked in the Salt Lane carpark where if you enter you car reg in The Wave on a wall tablet you will receive a discount."

Villan Chris

"Really a great place. I took my son and 3 of his friend's today and they absolutely loved every minute of it. Great place. My only criticism would be that the slide with the ddors that open beneath your feet wasn't operational today and that was one of the reasons we went today but they still had lots of fun."

Aldous Marriott

"Had a great time at The Wave with my 4 year old. He wasn’t quite brave enough to go on the big slides but absolutely loved the kids slide, wave pool and lazy river and they were enough to fill up our 2 hours.
The big disappointment was the cafe afterwards. Considering it was the session finishing at 12.15pm you’d think it’s fairly obvious that most people would want food. There was ONE member of staff and after a really long queue when we finally got to the front we were told there’s no food left, all we could have was chips. It’s not like we’d taken ages getting changed and there was lots of people still coming into the cafe afterwards so they clearly just didn’t have enough to cater for the amount of people they knew were in the session."
