What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Tomnahurich Cemetery for its stunning panoramic views of Inverness and the surrounding landscape, describing it as a peaceful and beautiful place for a walk. Many appreciate the historical significance, particularly the World War memorials, and the tranquil atmosphere. Some note that certain off-path sections can be precarious due to leaf cover and slippery conditions.
"This is a really peaceful and beautiful place to go for a nice walk. Great views over the whole city. There are plenty of benches if you need a sit down as a number of the paths have quite steep sections. A number of the headstones are for men killed during the world wars.
If you stick to the main path/road, it is very safe and clear. Some of the other sections that branch off from the main path can be slightly precarious as they can be completely covered with leaves, which can hide rocks or tree roots. Some of the steps are a bit short too and could be slippy if wet."
