It has been fantastic to see the town centre so busy and lively for Her Majesty the Queen's visit today. She visited the poppy shop at the Martingate Shopping Centre, met with local community groups along the High Street, and then visited St Bartholomew's Church to view the poppy cascade and attach the final flower. Huge thanks go to Peacock WI Corsham who have led on the project, and all the bu...

Should Redhill Town Centre be completely vehicle-free? Shoppers in Redhill were left shocked after a car crash in the pedestrian area right outside Peacocks. This is supposed to be a vehicle-free zone, yet cars and delivery bikes keep cutting through the high street. ⚠️ Locals are asking: How can a car even get into a pedestrian zone like this? #reigateredhillextra #redhill #londonukextra #surr...

Reviews Summary

Visitors generally find town centres and high streets to be vibrant hubs with a good variety of shops, cafes, and historical interest. The presence of independent businesses and charity shops is often praised, alongside the convenience of central locations. However, some experiences can be marred by issues like broken facilities in play areas or disappointing dining experiences. Reddit

"Today I visited the St George Shopping Centre.
The Centre consists of many shops that are varied and cover many aspects for most peoples needs.

To make it easier for you I have literally taken a photo of every shop in the Centre, in order of walking the around whole place.
(Picture’s below)

(Further Information)
The security Guard’s patrolling the centre were, friendly, approachable, professional and full of helpful information.

(The Centre also consists of)
- Toilets downstairs and a Baby Change.
- A Car park that brings you straight into the George’s Shopping area.
- Benches placed around to sit and rest, or relax and recuperate.
- The whole place was very clean and tidy.
- Lifts or Stairs to access different levels
- Definitely worthy of a visit and a lovely, safe environment to shop in.
Recommended."

"Spent a very pleasant time here, popped into Marie Curie where I often pick up a bargain. Then onto Rymans to drop off some dead pens for recycling, had a friendly chat with the staff. I then went to Poundland and bought two more cushion covers for 75p each after being impressed with the quality of the six I'd purchased yesterday. The staff were very friendly and helpful when there was a mix up with the pricing label. It soon got sorted out.
Savers is another favourite of mine for toiletries and meds.
The art centre is very welcoming, it's lovely to catch up with friends over lunch or a cuppa at very reasonable prices. The gallery has wonderful exhibitions to look around and there's a Book exchange in an old telephone kiosk."

"❌ Disappointing experience at the children's play area in George Shopping ❌

I paid twice to use the ride-on machines in the kids' area, and both times the money was taken from my card, but nothing worked! The machines didn’t start, and the entire system seems completely broken — the only thing that works is taking your money. There are no signs or warnings that the equipment is out of order, and no staff available to help.

It’s unacceptable for a shopping center of this size to have a children’s play area that just takes your money without delivering anything in return. Shameful! I hope this issue is fixed quickly and customers are treated with more respect."
