"Lovely historic building but you can't enter it anymore may be because it is too worn out."

"We visited the Tudor house as part of the Margate Museum ticket deal at £3 per adult for both attractions.
We were greeted by an absolute salt of the earth guy named Ade, he constantly wore a beautiful smile and was super patient and kind to the children. He directed us on where to go then gave us more information. We first visited the cooking/ food room. Learned that it Tudor times sugar was 20 timers more expensive than beef. It was one of those information that you never expect to be true. The menu of daily food were displayed and more history was shared around the room on food growing habits and other things Tudors did.
We then went to the hall and moved around the house to see the beauty of the Tudor architecture. As we went upstairs there was conveniently a table with drawings and colouring pencils for the kids to do their own colouring in work. It was such a great addition as it kept them occupied whilst my husband and I looked around the other rooms. Come to the textile room we met Pam, what an incredible lady. So full of talent and knowledge. It was a breath of fresh air! Absolutely beautiful place with exceptional architecture and to think that this house was almost going to be demolished. I'm so glad this Gen is open for the public to see and admire. From the textile room there is a staircase to the garden which is beautifully manicured and we'll landscaped.
In the main hall part you can buy souvenirs which is a plus."

"We visited on a Sunday afternoon, last entry was at 2pm. Very helpful and chatty volunteer at reception, lots of information notice boards including a set of tutor menus written in old English with the modern translation and the history of codpieces and origins of the term family jewels)
The fireplaces were spectacular. You can wonder upstairs too. Definitely worth at least a 30 min visit and excellent value. Small shop inside selling souvenirs and bits and pieces"
