"Got to be one of the best blue flag sandy beaches on the east coast. Great day out with the kids can be had as it was when I was a kid. Highly recommend, plenty of parking and things to do including the pier."
Rob Rook
"After living in the UK for 7 years and always opting to fly abroad for beach trips, I finally visited a UK beach and it genuinely exceeded expectations.
Be warned: parking is a bit of a nightmare unless you arrive before 10 AM or get very lucky. Many people resort to parking on yellow lines. If you don't, be prepared to circle around for quite a while.
That said, once you're there, it's well worth it. The beach is clean, and the views from the beach huts are absolutely stunning. While the sea itself isn’t crystal clear it's full of seaweed and not quite your typical “holiday beach” water it’s surprisingly warm and inviting.
There are plenty of fish and chip shops nearby, making it easy to turn your visit into a full day out.
All in all, a great spot for a UK beach day—just plan ahead for parking and come early!"
