What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise West Park for its immense beauty, vast green spaces, and abundant wildlife, making it a favorite for picnics and peaceful strolls. The well-maintained gardens and lake are highlights, offering a serene escape. However, some note that while the park itself is lovely, the surrounding city amenities could be improved.
"Beautiful park, you can bring a picnic. There are benches all around the park so you can sit in shade or in sun. There are greylag geese, Canadian geese, mallards and coots, swans, squirrels, pigeons and seagulls. It is absolutely huge and full of beautiful trees and flowers. Can easily spend an entire day there. Take sweetcorn and peas defrosted and some bread, nut mix for the squirrels and bird seed for pigeons, and you’ll have friends following you all day. One of my favourite places on earth!!"

"Lovely big open space to bring the kids. They do events throughout the year as well. It's a nice big playground for babies/toddlers and big kids alike. Toilets on site as well as a small cafe area. Massive pool to come and feed the birds. Plenty of seating dotted around. Free parking is allocated all around the park itself. Some history aspects to look at. Picturesque views. Band stand areas. Exotic plant area which a lot of the time isn't open to the public. Nice family day out to be had here or just some down time to yourself"

"I love West Park. It's a great park for a walk. Play park is good. I sometimes take my grandchildren. There should however be much better facilities. They are awful. Surroundings are just beautiful. Who'd think you were near the disappointing "city" of Wolverhampton. The "city" has lost it's appeal."
