"I walk past this boating lake quite frequently but very rarely see it being used by model boaters. The last time was a guy with a remote controlled boat which must have been about eight months ago. Most of the time it acts as a paddling pool for the local gulls, and very occasionally swans. Maybe it could be better utilised as a paddling pool, assuming a way could be found to keep the gulls away and that it could revamped so that the water was more than a few inches deep."
