Reviews Summary
Visitors find Aden Crater a uniquely beautiful and otherworldly destination, offering a rewarding hike into an ancient volcanic caldera. However, the journey there is challenging due to a rough, remote dirt road, requiring a high-clearance vehicle and careful preparation. Despite the access difficulties, the stunning volcanic landscape and potential for wildlife sightings make it a worthwhile adventure for the prepared.
"Satisfyingly weird and other-worldly, but getting there is a bit of a challenge. The last 11 miles are a narrow dirt road, overgrown with acacia and mesquite. The trail is not marked but the crater is obvious. Use gps so you can find your car tho. Bring water, boots and trekking poles. If you get lost or hurt, it is a long long way to a hospital. Despite all that, it is a very easy and rewarding hike into the crater. Look for melanistic lizards and other animals that have evolved into black versions of themselves."

"Once again, was more impressed with this little known volcanic cone, than some popular volcanic sites visited previously. Fairly remote, can be found using google maps"
