What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Cascade Valley Metro Park for its beautiful scenery, easy-to-navigate trails, and family-friendly atmosphere. The river access and picnic areas are frequently highlighted as enjoyable features. Some sections of the Oxbow Trail can be muddy and require caution.
"Such a beautiful and easy trail. Lots of spots to sit by the water or play in it. The hike itself is easy, there's only one stretch of uphill steps but it's not long! Super shaded, with lots of bridges and cute critters. Loop trail that takes about 30 mins if you're fast or 40 if you're walking casually!"
Megan Weidle
"The Oxbow is a primitive trail muddy this time of year. It's a short loop with a steep, step section. Several "step" portions need filled in as wash out has occurred and steps are leaning. Quite a few River access points and a nice picnic area with lots of benches and grills. There's also a sledding hill and several ballfields."
Nathan Fabian
"Today I discovered a new park! I drive past it daily for work, but today I made a left and turned in. I was curious about the ‘overlook’ park. I drove past the ball field and made another left. I was led to a path that was covered in sunlight. The blue sign signaled it was apart of the Oxbow Trail; however, I kept straight… OMGOODNESS a wonderful surprise of a babbling Brook hedged in river rocks."
