What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Firestone Metro Park for its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and abundant wildlife. The easy trails and family-friendly amenities, like the children's fishing pond and open fields, make it a beloved spot for unwinding and enjoying the outdoors. Some minor concerns might include seasonal trail conditions or specific area access.
"Firestone Metro Park is one of my go-to places to unwind. The trails are super easy to walk and take you past some really pretty streams and wetlands. There’s tons of plant life and wildlife—I’ve seen deer, birds, and even turtles just hanging out. It’s a peaceful spot whether you’re out with the dog or just want a break in nature."
Randall Moyer
"Very beautiful area in Akron, Ohio. Two walking paths, The Willow and Redwing, go around the park and take you by several ponds, and beside the Tuscarawas River. There is a huge fishing pond, but it is for the kids and you have to be 15 years old or younger to fish there. There is also a smaller pond that is stocked with a bunch of turtles where fishing is prohibited. Restrooms are available and there is a big area with picnic tables. There is a huge open field that is perfect for the kiddos to run around, and also your puppies! Yes, this is a dog-friendly park."

"Wonderful park, great for a hike, or a trail run. Or even a picnic.
Good to be in nature"
