What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Corning Riverfront Park is appreciated for its scenic Hudson River trail, family-friendly amenities like a playground and picnic areas, and the vibrant weekly farmers market. While some visitors note it could benefit from redevelopment and cleanup, its free access and natural beauty make it a valued community space for recreation and relaxation.
"It’s a hidden treasure next to Albany downtown on the edge of Hudson River. After living more than two years in the capital region, I visited this park with my family and friends on September 1, 2024. It has many things to offer like hiking, biking, fishing, site seeing, amphitheater, picnic spot and kids playground. However, the park needs a clean up and redevelopment to attract people. This place can be developed as a means of economic development through the development of broad-walk along the hudson River and restaurants/shops. The skyway is another attraction next to this park. Do not forget to visit this amazing place!"

"Good place to be alone, while surrendered by many people and mother nature. It really will make you feel good walking alone, with a love one or with your dog, along the bike trail which is part of the Corning Preserve. There are plenty of space for everyone. Also, facilities, play ground for the little ones, picnic area with B.B.Q. grills are available around the are. There are other attractions close by, like the Dutch Apple Cruising, The Slater, Albany Rowing Center, The Skyway and the most important thing: the Hudson River. All this facilities are free of cost and family friendly. So, don't stay at home and come down to the Corning Preserve and walk alone the Hudson River. As always, lets keep Albany's public facilities clean for the enjoyment of present and future generations to come and .... If you see something; say something."

"Nice place to relax. There's a lot of fishing here too. There's also a dock for your boats. This park honestly is just another regular parks. There's a ton of parties here. If you just want to hang out in the small gazebo just to watch the water and boats or sometimes the usual beaver just swimming along then this is the park for you. I used to like this place but it's not that great anymore."
