Reviews Summary

Reviews for the University of New Mexico are mixed, with some visitors praising the beautiful campus, unique architecture, and positive healthcare experiences at UNM Hospital. However, others report significant issues with disorganization and unhelpfulness in administrative offices, particularly financial aid, and some express concerns about campus safety. Reddit

"I am a UNM Alumni. I went to visit the area a while ago. Was walking through the SUB and went to use the restroom. From there Security had tried to grab me. They had no reason to try to unlawfully detain me. It was an embarrassing moment for myself and the people I was with. They targeted me and later when I asked what their reason was they claimed it was "None of my business". I wrote a letter to the Dean in detail about the absurdness of the incident. How low the University has become to their graduates. I hope I'm just the example."

Sky Davila

"This has been the worst education experience I have ever had. not only are the majority of instructors absolutely useless, no communication, no updating syllabus's, and constantly shifting and changing the schedule so its impossible to know when anything is due, but the students and faculty are absolutley no help and will do anything to find an excuse that essentially says "its your problem". the problem I needed help with was something I couldn't do on my own because it needed permission from them. When I went to go get the problem fixed, I was tugged around all campus to find help to tell me the only people that can help closed their offices at 11. Not for lunch. That was when the office closed their walk-in hours. And that doesn't work for me, and when I tried to fix the problem that day, becuase I was unaware until the final day to fix it, and I have other things like a job and family resposibilities that makes that an impossibility for me. And now you have essentially kicked me out unless I find help, but why the hell would I do that when your "help" has been nothing but blaming the victim and refusing to help in any way."

"I had a wonderful visit, the staff were very professional and compassionate. My provider made my pain go away and was above and beyond professional and compassionate. Thank you so very much!!!"
