What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Farm House Museum a charming and historically significant site, especially for its connection to Iowa State University's origins. While some find the atmosphere a bit eerie, particularly on the third floor, the knowledgeable student guides and Victorian details are consistently praised. It's recommended as a pleasant, albeit brief, addition to a campus visit.
"Great cool "little" farmhouse with fun historical stuff. Got a good tour. Definitely recommend if you're wandering around campus."

"Given the limited hours of this museum on the Iowa State University campus, I've never quite got a chance to visit this place until recently. Important lesson that I've learned: thank goodness there is limited hours at this museum. This place gave me the creeps while I was moving through the building taking pictures. Definitely come with a friend, or better yet, come with a group. I can't imagine the poor undergrad that has to sit in this museum on a regular basis. Anyways, the museum itself contains a mind boggling 3 stories worth of rooms filled with various artifacts. The rooms/exhibits on the third floor is especially pressuring/claustrophobic given that it's basically the attic of the "farm house," and there is a very little room to move about. I guess if you're into the whole paranormal investigation stuff, this is not a bad place to check out."
