"Well worth the visit to Amherst. Anyone who’s interested in museum curation and historic preservation should definitely pay a visit. The brother’s house’s original interior is being preserved while Emily’s house has been renovated to look how it did when she lived there. It’s really interesting. Both houses were well staffed by very knowledgeable tour guides who were excited to answer questions about Emily’s and her families’ lives. The cemetery where Emily and some family members are buried is just a short walk away. Overall, I was very impressed by my visit."

"My daughter and I went to the museum today for a tour of both the house and Evergreen.
Our first tour guide ( thacker?- please correct me if I got the name wrong) was exceptionally good, knowledgeable and passionate about Emily and her legacy.
Stopping by this tour took us 2 hours off of path, but was beyond worth it for those who love Dickinson."
