What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the breathtaking summit views and the rewarding challenge of Bird Ridge Trail. The convenient location and potential for wildlife sightings are also major draws. However, many caution about the trail's strenuous steepness and the challenging, loose gravel descent, recommending proper footwear and trekking poles.
"Beautiful walk and very convenient parking. Not busy at all."

"Nice little turnoff from the highway. Plenty of fishing to be had as well as some great views of the creek and the mountains."
Jaymez Callaway (James2Games)
"There's a great parking lot for those who want to bike the trails, hike, or go fishing. It's big and has enough space for people. We've gone down to Bird Creek several times to go fishing. It's great when the tide is low and you can get out there. There's enough rocky area that if you don't want to stand on the mud, you don't have to. But a bit of the good fishing is going to be on the mud. It can be a bit crowded there, and you'll worry about tangling lines or getting hooked, but it's good fishing. With their being a lot of people there, that is good to keep you safe from bears. We had a bear show up, but all the fishermen started yelling and making noise, we all work together to drive the bear back into the woods. Everybody was safe and fine."
