"A beautiful historical preserved church.
Built in NY and brought down around the Florida Keys and up the Florida west coast by boat and erected on current site in 1836. Note the chandelier on the ceiling the star’s represent the 26 states of US territory at that time. The original
Pipe organ is still used till this day in the Sunday services. The late John B Gorrie credited with the invention of the ice maker and early air conditioning was a pillar member of the congregation and is buried on the grounds. The grounds are truly beautiful graced with grand oaks truly a place to come stroll and experience a piece of yesterday."

"We were there on a Saturday just as a funeral service ended. We entered this beautiful church which I had seen about 70 years ago.
We were greeted by a very nice gentleman who told us some of the history of the church. We had a great visit with him only to discover we were both born in the same hospital in Gainesville. It is a great church to visit and we are thankful we were able to go inside."
