What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Weis Earth Science Museum for its engaging exhibits, knowledgeable staff, and incredible value, especially given its free admission. Many highlight the interactive elements and the surprising depth of local geological information. While not a sprawling institution, it offers a rich and enjoyable experience for all ages.
"I admit, I went hoping to find pretty rocks and minerals...but there was so much more! This was not just a great geologic history of the EARTH review, but they had many exhibits fine-tuned to the LOCAL AREA. The Great Lakes, Wisconsin's Glacial History, The Niagara Escarpment, the MINING history and its importance in the BADGER STATE. They had a fair representation of fossils (including dinosaur stuff) for a museum this size. It's not a huge place - but we took our time and enjoyed it for about 2 hours. If you have more time, you can relax at a show in the BARLOW PLANETARIUM - right down the hall. We really enjoyed it."
