Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Hug Point's stunning natural beauty, from its unique beach waterfall and sea caves to its vibrant tide pools. The historic stagecoach path adds a unique element. However, accessibility can be challenging, and visitors must be vigilant about tide times and parking availability. InstagramReddit

"Great Scenic stop along Hwy 101 just 4.8 mi South of Cannon Beach. Jetta had a great time during his photo shoot.
Check Tide Tables before going as the incoming tide comes in rapidly."

Kevin Carr

"Went on a Wednesday, there was lots of parking. This park is not ADA friendly. Small trail down hill and then to wooden stairs that turn earthen. Be careful if your carrying small children or pets. Also KNOW THE TIDE!! you can get stuck during HIGH TIDE..That part aside.. One of the most Beautiful Beaches I've ever seen! neat little cave to go in, that safe. Little water falls on to the beach. My dog had a blast ( remember to pick up after your pooch). There's hiking trails above the beach,.. You should definitely visit.."

Dez Argento

"Really beautiful and iconic spot on the Oregon Coast! It's not only one of the places I like to go for my own leisure time and some beach walking, but it's also one of the places I've frequented most for photographing intimate weddings and elopements on the coast.

This is such a good location, because it's close enough to town that it makes it easy to access food, lodging, etc. It's beautiful any time of day and any season, but definitely best at low tide (so you can actually get around the point to where the waterfall is) and sunset is gorgeous here.

I've photographed a lot of weddings and elopements here, in all sorts of weather and different seasons, and the spot is just always stunning. I highly recommend spring or early summer if you want the best chance of seeing the waterfall flowing (it's seasonal).

I will say, the parking lot is large but fills FAST, so arriving early or targeting a weekday will help. If there's no parking spots available, please don't park on the road; it's super dangerous! There are other really beautiful beaches nearby that you can try, too.

Love this place, and I'm sure I'll be coming back many more times over the years."
