Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Sauder Village for its immersive historical experience, engaging costumed interpreters, and charming atmosphere. Many appreciate the variety of crafts demonstrated and the nostalgic feel of the 1920s Main Street. While some find the value for money debatable and note occasional inconsistencies in staff training, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many planning return visits.

"We come to Sauder Village every year! Its a special place for us because we are related to the founders and our last name is Sauder! We love all the old buildings and taking the train ride through all of it! My favorite place is the 1920s area! We get ice cream everyone we go there and I love watching the movie theater! It makes me feel like I was really in the 1920s! Its so fun to see people dressed up in the time period! I love that there is so much hands on activities and I always learn something new eveytime! I highly recommend Sauder Village and you will not regret going! There are things for all ages to do and see! The farm animals are so cute!!"

"Worth the visit to this Historical village in northern Ohio.
I’d budget at least 3 to 4 hours to spend time and visit the whole village
There is something for all ages. Restaurant smelled delicious and the donut shop has really good treats
My only wish is the folks in the different stations would be better trained. There were some very good and knowledgeable people and others who were just there to tell us which building we were and that was it!"

Giselle Beeker

"Trip as grandparents taking 12 yr old and 7 yr old boys. It was okay. Marking it down for value for the money, animals were a bit disappointing, caged in such a way you could not really see them, horse and carriage ride would have been $24 extra for the 4 of us, after nearly $100 to get in. Map was hard to follow. Lady at the spinning wheel was quite unpleasant, although most workers were ok or actually good at explaining their craft. Spent just under 4 hrs as it was very hot the day we went and attention spans were wanting, and as senior citizens, a bit too much walking."
