What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tanyard Creek Park is praised as a peaceful, well-maintained urban oasis perfect for walks, jogs, and picnics, with its creek and waterfall being notable highlights. Its connection to the BeltLine is a significant advantage for connectivity and recreation. However, the lack of restrooms and limited parking are recurring drawbacks for visitors.
"I visited Tanyard Creek Park with my dog, Moose, and we loved it! It’s such a peaceful, relaxing spot—perfect for walking or jogging. The trail is beautiful and even connects to other paths if you’re in the mood for a longer run. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the natural surroundings make it feel like a little escape in the city. We’ll definitely be back!"

"This has got to be one of my favorite lunch parks I have found so far! It's not very big, but what it doesn't have in size it makes up for in natural noise and a feeling of isolation in nature if you face the right direction. I took lunch in the creek connected to the park by a waterway. The running water and little waterfalls pretty much removed all the car noise.
If you aren't out for a lunch walking the creek bed is a fun little jaunt, but there isn't much here other than historical marks about the Battle of Peachtree Creek.
The park is off the beltline and isn't a bad stop for a break on a bike or jog or a quick detour when on a walk. The Beltline running adjacent/through it really makes for a nice bit of non-car dependent connectivity.
Park also has a small parking lot for someone on a work lunch break who has to drive a vehicle.
See my pictures for an idea of the park, parking, and places to sit for a lunch."

"Good trail for walking and biking. Lots of bridges and great view of the golf course. Definitely recommended to anyone. Great place to start would be the Tanyard Creek Parking which has almost 10 cars to park. The bike trail was nearly 3 miles long with good elevation and decend for casual fun."
