"This trail was very well-kept and scenic along lady bird lake in downtown Austin! Great for all activities"

"One of Austin’s best places to walk and enjoy Town Lake. 12 miles of well kept trail. Bike or walk. Bikes can be a hazard sometimes when going too fast. Lots of places to sit and enjoy the natural beauty of the trail and lake and tons of wildlife."
Robert Fiorini
"The trail/path is great. Easy, wide and well maintained. We rode our fat tire bikes and connected from the north end of Shoal creek trail. Overall it’s a great ride, walk or run, although it is super crowded especially on the weekends. The massive crowds are probably the only downside as you have to really pay attention and don’t have as much time to enjoy the scenery. You just need to be patient, and take your time.
We made a stop at Ziker botanical gardens which was decent and they have a place to park your bike. We also stopped for lunch at Tumble 22 on the way back. There are plenty of spots to explore, pull off and enjoy the views or get food."
