"Free to visit. Its a small area. If you like to read all plaques and signage, then give yourself 30-45 minutes. I wouldn't recommend bringing small children. They have a beautiful piano there that you're allowed to play."

"This is a lovely museum to visit in downtown Austin. The tour guides are so knowledgeable and very eager to answer questions about the house, its history, and O. Henry's life. The home is well maintained, inviting, and cozy. You will really feel the history the second you step inside. It's a small house but has a lot of offer. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience."

"Amazing experience for anyone who has loved “the gift of magi” as we didn’t know the lives lived by the author, william sydney porter aka o’henry. Super helpful museum staff shared with us interesting parts of his life. We got to see the house (which was moved to its current location) he shared with his wife and daughter. We saw the piano he played, maps he drew, his life as bank teller. The gift shop has his books which is must for anyone who wants to read his lesser known works."
