"Decent trail from the north end of town to the downtown waterfront area. We parked towards the end of the trail and road our fat tire bikes down to the river and around to Ziker botanical gardens. Not excessively crowded for a Saturday morning. The path is pretty open and well maintained.
I don’t think I would walk or ride this alone due to a lot of sketchy folks camping out/ living along the trail."

Goes along Shoal Creek, plenty of trees and rocks. Doesn't feel like it is so close to downtown Austin.
Multi-use trail. Bikes, hiking, running and dog friendly. Passes through Peace park. Some parking locations along the trail are available."
