Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Avery Creek Trail for its beautiful waterfalls and the adventurous creek crossings, making it a rewarding hike. However, the limited parking and rough road access can be a deterrent for some. The trail's technical nature and potential for washed-out bridges require careful preparation.

"This is what I would call a medium level hike on sloop trail. You actually start off on a separate trail that leads you to the beginning of this trail. Starting at the horse stables will add extra miles to your hike and I advise you start at the trail head further up the road. All in all it his was an amazing set of waterfalls."

Scott Moffett

"I have heard about this waterfall in the Pisgah Forest district in brevard NC, the trail head for this waterfall starts after the horse stables but the forest road gate was closed which make the hike longer, but an amazing trail with both horse and hiking trails in opposite ends of the river, there were multiple water crossings which make this hike really technical but fun nonetheless."

JC RXN

"This is not the start of trailhead, you need drive for another 2 miles from here on rough roads to reach the parking spot. There is a very small parking with maximum of 6 cars. Trailhead to twin falls start after you cross the stable parking on the way. Be sure to carry water and wear easy slippers if you are hiking as you need to cross the creek multiple times to reach twin falls. It is a moderate trail of 5 miles. Overall 10% of the trail is covered with trees, so on a hot sunny day it's a bit difficult to hike."
