What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Skiff Point offers breathtaking, remote views of Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline, making it a hidden gem for those willing to make the trek. Visitors rave about the panoramic vistas and the unique, rocky beach experience. However, the strict reliance on low tide for access and the challenging terrain are significant considerations.
"Skiff Point is a remote spot to take in the Puget Sound with sweeping views ranging from Mt. Baker to the north and Mt. Rainier to the south. This is a remote and very rocky beach with access limited to low tide. Worth having closed toe water shoes as the barnacles like to bite. To reach it you will need to approach from the south east along the beach from Manitou, or from the north along the beach from Rolling-bay walk. I sometimes walk a full loop at low tide from Manitou past Skiff Point and out Rolling Bay walk (or continue on past the abandoned houses), or vice-versa. There are sometimes tree swings and fun little sitting nooks along the journey. Again, watch the tides and do not get caught here at high tide or you will have to enter the water to exit (as I have done many times).
The houses here are high above on the cliff so it feels quite private and remote. Enjoy!"
