Staying in a cabin at Pike Lake with the family this weekend. Anything else we should see in the area?
Visit the Arc of Appalachia; the trails are better maintained than Pike Lake State Park. There are several trails in the area but you could start with the Highland Nature Sanctuary trails and visit the Appalachian Forest Museum.…

I LIVE IN BAINBRIDGE. FINALLY, REPRESENTATION. You should go take pictures out by Jrs and Country Crust Bakery, and then drive up Barrett Mill to get pictures of the trees. It's beautiful this time of year, always is.

Parents visiting that hate walking, hikes, shopping, and most sightseeing
I have lived in Seattle for over a year now and simply do not know where to take my parents for the THREE days they are visiting! They dislike hikes, picnics, walking to explore, museums, and shopping. I think this puts pike place, the space needle, and the waterfront out of…

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Pike Lake State Park is cherished for its peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty, offering a serene escape. Visitors appreciate the stargazing and the opportunity to disconnect. However, some find the lake to be more of a pond, and cabin bedding can be uncomfortable. Concerns about bedbugs have been raised by a few guests.
"Very peaceful little getaway!! Definitely more of a spot to relax and enjoy nature rather than a bunch of activities to do. (They do have paddle boats and Kayaks to rent) To call this a lake is a bit of a stretch, it’s essentially a large pond but pretty nonetheless. We stayed in a basic cabin for $60 a night. Beds were not comfy- very firm and springy (which is understandable for the price of the cabin, I’m just warning you to bring a mattress pad if you are hoping for a good sleep.) We hiked the Mitchell Ridge Trail - it was only 1.2 mile loop but it was STEEP! the trail map doesn’t indicate the elevation but it winds up to the very top of the hill shown in my first picture and then back down. Favorite part of the trip was that it was Gorgeous spot to watch the stars and listen to frogs at nighttime!
The store is open 9-5 and they have firewood for sale as well s’mores supplies, hot dogs, and games for kids like water guns."

"Cabins were very nice. Clean and comfortable. One note, they don't provide much for blankets and none in the bunks, be sure to bring your own bedding. No Verizon service."

"I dearly love this Park. I've camped, or rented cabins here for 15 years. Truly one of my favorite getaway places. Beautiful scenery, a peaceful lake and woods. Located 7 miles from Bainbridge OH. The Park is well maintained. They also have a nice camp store. Staff has always been friendly, and nice to talk to. Only down side is, there is no cell, wi-fi, or internet service in the Park. I've heard that T-Mobile is the only company that provides a signal here, but I can't say that for sure, as I have Verizon."
