"We traveled to Maine in September and ended up in Monument cove due to some changes in our plans. Access to it is steep and adventurous.
Once down keep track of the tide as ideally you would like to get out before the tide comes in and you are waterlogged.
Monument cove is similar to pebble beach as in, it is full of pebbles/boulders. It is serene as is most of Acadia. Sitting on the boulders or round rocks the view before is mesmerizing. the ocean is a beautiful contrast to the boulders and the surrounding hillside."
