This 2 mile hike in Acadia National Park is kid-friendly and breathtaking! Ocean Path goes from Sand Beach to Otter Point, both of which has bus stops along the *free* bus routes for Acadia! There are plenty of tiny “off trail” (but still trail) extensions for AMAZING views and places to rest! 10/10 would recommend. #acadia #acadianationalpark #maine #visitmaine #mainelife #mainething #hiking #kid...

Reviews Summary

Ocean Path offers breathtaking coastal scenery with iconic landmarks like Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs, making it a must-see in Acadia. While incredibly beautiful, be prepared for significant crowds, especially on the first few miles, which some compare to a theme park. The trail is generally flat and accessible, suitable for families and those seeking easier walks, but can get very busy.

"This is a beautiful trail in a beautiful place. But let’s be real: this trail is absolutely packed with people. It’s like the Disneyland of national park trails. Literally thousands of people parading down a mostly level path for several miles. If that’s what you’re into, you’ll love it. If you prefer a more tourist-free experience, find somewhere else.

With that said, there are beautiful spots to climb out onto the rocks, and the trail is good for kids and/or elderly folks. Also if you continue for a few miles, the tourists thin out and the trail gets more interesting.

All in all, a good experience, but be forewarned that you’ll be stuck in a massive traffic jam getting in and surrounded by literally thousands of people for at least the first couple miles."

"- It took about 2 hours to go out and back. The trail is flat with numerous viewpoints that overlook cliffs.
- There’s plenty of parking throughout the park in lots and along the road
- The trail features Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs
- Acadia charges to enter the park. I’m from out of state so I paid $35 for 7 days. There aren’t any additional fees once you’re in the park unless you’re doing Cadillac mountain (you need to pay $6 online to drive to the peak)."

"This trail comes with beautiful scenery, plenty of forresty, shaded paths, and lots of stairs, so you can feel satisfied with your leg day workout at the end.

Plus, if you park in the right place, there's a long stretch of cold, soothing ocean to soak your feet in after your long and tiring ruck.

The surrounding city (Bar Harbor) is quaintly picturesque, with plenty of places to stop and eat on your way.

10/10, you shouldn't miss out on Acadia National Park. You've already come all this way to vacation in Maine - explore and touch literal grass!"
