"I loved this show! From the moment I entered the property I was impressed by the down home friendliness of the place. The rebuilt amphitheater is gorgeous. You should arrive an hour early to take advantage of the free pre-show backstage tour. The story, acting, and music is top notch. I love Stephen Foster’s music and this show featured all of his well known and many of his lesser known songs. The story line based loosely on his life takes some liberties for sake of expediency, but it does truly represent the racial biases in black-faced minstrels of that time (without getting too heavy) and how Foster’s music was an attempt to rise above that. If you’re looking for an evening of beautiful music and great entertainment in an outdoor setting, you will not be disappointed! #doodah"
