"Nice park, well maintained, clean and the camp sites are well kept. It’s a great place to ride bikes. There are nice flat areas for families with kids and there are some real challenging hills if you are looking for a longer ride. You can ride the park road 1A or 1C 13+ miles to Buescher state park.
The roads are well maintained and very light traffic. Plenty of side roads to explore along the way. Very much worth the $5. Per person park fee."

"We did the Fa La La La scavenger hunt here today and had the best time! It was just my husband and I but we make a great team! The hunt took us all over the park and we learned a lot along the way! This park is so beautiful and the staff are super friendly! Every bathroom was clean! Like Bucee's clean! This is now ne of my favorite State Parks."

"Beautiful Texas State Park with lots of hiking options, which I really appreciate. The views are beautiful. I never saw it after the fires but from my uneducated eye, it seems to be recovering well. My photos are from a month ago. I bet it's even prettier in the fall. Lot's of history. Apparently there was a golf course here, in the past?"
