"Lovely hiking trail used also as a biking path. Trail was a little muddy due to recent rain but generally well maintained. Quiet on a Saturday morning. Beautiful forest walk, mostly covered by canopy. Recommend bug spray"

Gillian Declercq

"I’ve hiked this place twice now, and I love it! Beware there is a section of the trail that is so full of overgrown wildflowers, you will have to wade through grass, bees and, butterflies to get to the other side. I liked the trail better in the winter because of the lack of bugs and less mud, but summer was great to see some wildlife and critters. Most of the trail is shaded. Don’t go during the summer if you have a fear of spiders.

I’m an avid hiker, so it’s nice to have somewhere to go around the Baton Rouge area."
