What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Raising Cane's River Center to be a versatile venue for a wide range of events, from concerts to community gatherings. While many praise the friendly staff and the venue's cleanliness, some note that it can be excessively cold inside and express concerns about strict security and bag policies. Pricing for concessions is also a common point of feedback.
"Was there to bowl USBC nationals. The venue was very clean, relatively easy to navigate and had all the amenities needed. The prices were high as always. The security was a joke and beyond. Picking and choosing who to stop and open bags that the previous guard just went through, delaying a lot of folks. At one point, I bought a bottle of water, the guard opened the door for me to take my equipment to the car, then didn't allow me back in with the water I had just purchased. Receipt shown and all.
Most of the staff was very friendly however. Spoke to my wife and child while they were walking around, keeping my son occupied.
This is our 3rd time here, and I love Baton Rouge. I guess I expect this stuff, but always hope for better."
Bowl 899
"Although I came here specifically to bowl, before my squad time I was watching another group and it was just way too cold. I expect this type of atmosphere during a hockey game or maybe ice skating. A lot of spectators had jackets and blankets to try to stay warm."
Walter Rivers
"Our room was very nice. Just wishing a refrigerator came with room. Staff was very nice. Valet attendants were thoughtful, kind and had great personalities."
