"What can I say—it’s Disney! I took my son to Hollywood Studios for his birthday as a surprise, and while the experience was nice & now we Have that Memory, the cost was tough to swallow. Admission for JUST the two of us was $280 just to get in the front gate.
He’s always wanted to build a droid after seeing videos online, so we made that happen—$120 plus tax, which wasn’t too bad. But unless you shell out another $60+ for the custom backpack, you’ll be carrying it around the entire day.
We arrived around 1:30 PM and parking was smooth, which was a pleasant surprise. Ride wait times for the big attractions were between 45 and 70 minutes—definitely recommend getting a Fast Pass if you want to make the most of your time.
Food and drinks? Prepare to spend. Prices are high across the board, and while that’s expected at Disney, it still stings.
As much as we love Disney, I couldn’t help but feel robbed by the end of the day. It’s unbelievably expensive. I truly feel bad for larger families—how a family of five can afford this kind of experience is beyond me. but the cost makes it feel out of reach for so many Families!!!"
