What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Overlook Trail for its dual-season appeal, offering beautiful hiking views in summer and a thrilling ski run in winter. The trail's natural beauty and unique transformation are highlights, though hikers should be prepared for its intermediate difficulty and potentially slippery conditions.
"The Overlook trail along with the Royal Elk trail are the two most popular hikes at Beaver Creek. You can access this trail from the right side of the Centennial lift at the top or bottom of the lift. I hiked down this trail twice, the hike up looks pretty brutal so just keep that in mind! In the winter this trail is called Stickline which is one of my favorite tree runs at Beaver Creek. It's pretty cool to be able to ski and hike the same trail. In any event you'll love this trail either season!"

"Wear good hiking shoes. A few slippery slightly steep areas with dry dirt over granite, roots and rocks but very doable . Intermediate rating"

Navigating the Overlook Trail: Summer Hiking

Planning your hike for summer mornings can offer cooler temperatures and fewer fellow hikers, enhancing the overall experience.
