Beaver Ponds Trail offers a rewarding 6-mile loop with excellent opportunities to see beavers and elk, especially during sunrise. While some find the pond views less spectacular than other park attractions, the unique wildlife encounters and peaceful atmosphere make it a worthwhile hike. Be prepared for bugs and always carry bear spray.
"One of the least popular trails in yellowstone, but the hike was enjoyable. The view of the sunrise from the hill was also amazing. Since we didn’t have a bear spray, we weren’t able to do the full loop, so I would highly recommend getting a bear spray (there was a sign at the trailhead that showed us the date of the most recent bear sighting)."

"Lots of bugs, the view of the ponds was nice but not spectacular compared to other hikes in Yellowstone that have falls it lakes."
