⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had a great experience at Blue Springs Cavern! The older gentleman who guided our tour was wonderful — friendly, knowledgeable, and even played along with our “Find Benny” adventure across Indiana, which made it extra fun. All of the staff were well-educated, full of humor, and made the experience feel like being back at summer camp again. My 1-year-old even fell asleep for half the boat ride (highly recommend a sleepy kid for this one!), though it can be a little nerve-wracking with a wiggly toddler since there aren’t life preservers. Overall, it was a really neat and memorable stop — definitely worth the visit"

"Blue Springs Cavern was GREAT! Our group of 9 was able to fit in on the 4:30 tour. The staff was extremely friendly, our guide was informative about the history of the cavern. The actual boat ride was a lot longer than we expected. You have to walk down a steep hill into the cave where the boat landing is. The walk back up was a workout. It’s is worth the effort. Take a jacket or sweatshirt for Inside the cave. They also have a nice gift shop with all sorts of interesting rocks. We’ve been to a few caverns on our road trips and this one was fun. If you are in the area visit Blue Springs Cavern."

The Underground River: A Natural Wonder
During the tour, guides illuminate the path with flashlights, revealing stunning cave formations such as stalactites and stalagmites, though the primary focus is the river itself. The darkness and the sheer scale of the underground system contribute to a profound sense of exploration. It's a journey into the earth's hidden depths, offering a stark contrast to the world above.
It's important to note that the river's water level can fluctuate. During summer months, when water levels are typically lower, the boat tours are most accessible. The seasonal operation means it's crucial to check the operating schedule before planning your visit.
Beyond the Boat Ride: Sinkholes and Gemstones
For a more hands-on experience, visitors can try their hand at gemstone prospecting. At the assay station, you can purchase bags of rock and sediment and pan for semi-precious stones. This activity is particularly popular with children and families, adding an element of treasure hunting to the day. The gift shop also offers a variety of interesting rocks and souvenirs, making it a good place to find a memento of your underground adventure.
