What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Weowna Park is praised for its beautiful, shaded old-growth forest trails, charming waterfalls, and serene creek. Visitors appreciate the natural escape it offers close to the city, along with friendly locals and opportunities for wildlife spotting. However, parking can be challenging, and the steep, mulchy trails may be demanding for some.
"Beautiful park full of hills. When I went there, the day was hot and dry so I could not enjoy any sight of water, but the tall trees brought a very welcomed shade. The hills might be a bit too ambitious for the younger kids (or the complaining ones) that are not keen on getting their heart rates up. However, for adults that are looking for an adventure that does not feel like a flat-leveled park, those grounds could bring satisfaction. A word of wisdom: wear shoes that are comfortable due to very soft and mulchy ground that is truly dusty. The dust will cover your shoes and climb up nearly to your knees on a dry day so prepare yourself to take shower and to do laundry afterwards :)"

"🌲 Nature’s Mic Drop in Bellevue 🌲
If you’ve ever wanted to feel like you’ve wandered into a forested fairy tale without needing to pack a tent or fight off a bear, Weowna Park is your spot. The hiking trails? Oh, they’re not just trails—they’re winding, shaded, root-tangled invitations to pretend you’re in a REI commercial. Elevation changes keep things spicy, but not so intense that you’ll regret skipping leg day.
The people? Unreasonably friendly. Like, “smile-and-nod” friendly. “Say hi to your dog before they say hi to you” friendly. It’s unsettling in the best way.
And the wildlife? Owls and woodpeckers basically run the place. You’ll hear the rhythmic drumming of one and the soft, eerie hoot of the other like they’re coordinating a woodland soundtrack. Add in a few startled squirrels and you’ve got yourself a Disney scene in the making.
Best part? You’re five minutes from civilization but might as well be in Narnia. No traffic noise, no city stress—just trees, birds, and the occasional jogger who looks way too happy to be jogging uphill.
Highly recommend. Just don’t tell too many people. Let’s keep this little slice of Pacific Northwest magic semi-secret."

"Parking is tricky, but open walking paths with designated picnic spots and posts that tell you with path is which. Beautiful forestry area worth even a short hike!"
