Bennington Battle Monument Bennington, Vermont A little drone from the last stop on our road trip back from Quebec was Bennington, VT, where we visited the monument to the Battle of Bennington, a turning point in the American Revolution. Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Bennington Battle Monument for its historical significance and the stunning panoramic views from its observation deck. The impressive granite obelisk and the opportunity to see three states at once are major highlights. While occasional elevator closures can be a drawback, the historical exhibits and friendly staff at the base offer a worthwhile experience.

"Love this place. Great combination of history and scenery. Been here a couple of times while on fall foliage visits. And of course have dropped a ridiculous amount of money in the gift shop, which has a good selection of items at reasonable prices. Parking can be a bit of a struggle on a crowded weekend like when we went. Bathrooms are great. Loved the historical statues and the little display room with battle information and artifacts. The views from above were very nice - cool feeling knowing you can see three states from up there. As an added bonus for us, they were doing some reenactments while we were there! Spent about an hour here, about half of which was in gift shop waiting on the kids to look it all over."

"Had planned to dropped by this monument as a pit stop en route north. Loads of parking and nice little gift shop with really friendly staff. Unfortunately the elevator was not working that day so couldn't go to the top, but for a much reduced price you can still go inside, where there are friendly knowledgeable staff. A must visit if in the area."
