Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Cypress Black Bayou Recreation Area for its beautiful, clean beach and relaxing atmosphere, making it a fantastic value for the low entrance fee. The camping facilities, especially waterfront sites, are a major draw, and the on-site restaurant offers delicious Cajun cuisine. While generally loved, some minor inconveniences like utility placement on certain RV sites are occasionally noted.

"For $5 a person you get access to a huge beautiful beach with lots of shade and places to sit. The water is clear enough and the sand is soft. We visited the beach and the zoo but there was also a playground, discovery center, and many trails we weren't able to check out yet. The zoo isn't anything grand but my 2 year old sire loved it and for $5 it was well worth it. Kids under 5 are free so that's great too. We had a great time and will definitely be going back alot this summer."

Shelby Knodel

"If you haven't been to Cypress since the 90's you're overdue for a huge surprise. Its completely reworked, clean and breathtakingly beautiful. The Rv camping is so relaxing with many spots on the waterfront. The beach is so clean and plenty of room for everyone. The restaurant is delicious. I wish I could remember the name but you may call in your order and pickup. We ordered 5 large entrees and they were all wonderful. There are cabins for rent but I didn't see those. Its a beautiful area well worth the drive."

Kena Waggoner

"The price to stay in a primitive tenting site with electric, water, and clean bathrooms with showers was only $29.86 for one night with tax. We were the only tenters and felt safe. Cypress Park has a gated entry. The area has a fishing pier, hiking trails, a zoo, and a designated swimming area. I would definitely stay here again!"
