"It’s about a mile walk around the lake. It’s a birder’s paradise so bring binoculars. The bike/pedestrian paths are undergoing an upgrade with new plantings and clearing of brush, offering better views of the lake shore and wildlife."

"I love that my bike route to work includes going through here. It's such a chill, beautiful park that's great for hanging out in or just passing through. Lots of wildlife like herons, egrets, etc. The little covered pier is nice spot and it's usually got no one on it. So grateful for this piece of nature in all the gross industrial stuff."

"-Public bathrooms👍
Not the cushiest👎
-Outdoor exercise areas(2) the nicer of the 2 not photographed 👍
-A little historical lesson 👍
-Safety⚖️ on the trail yes, but as I was walking back I noticed several cars(4-6) that were parked on the side of the road that had their tires slashed this particular day. Asked a gentleman that it happened to about the situation he said it was a lady that lived under the bridge that did it. The parking lot were I parked is close to a business and seemed the safer place to park."

The park is a haven for birdwatchers, frequently visited by herons, egrets, and other avian species. A notable feature is the covered pier, often a quiet spot for reflection with unobstructed views of the water.

Comfort-wise, the public restrooms are available but described as 'not the cushiest.' For those seeking a more comfortable experience, planning ahead by bringing your own amenities or visiting nearby establishments might be considered. Despite these considerations, the overall sentiment is positive, with many appreciating this 'piece of nature in all the gross industrial stuff.' The park provides a valuable green space for recreation and enjoying the outdoors, making these practical tips essential for a smooth visit.
