"A Heartfelt Thank You to Brent Sears at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum
Losing our mother was one of the hardest moments of our lives. From the very beginning, Brent Sears at Elmwood Cemetery & Mausoleum was a steady, compassionate guide. He went above and beyond to make sure every detail was handled with care and respect.
Brent was there when we arrived on the day of the funeral, ensuring everything was perfect. His calm presence and regular check-ins brought real comfort to me and my family. His kindness and professionalism made a painful process feel less overwhelming.
Brent has a special gift for what he does, and we will never forget how much he helped us. He truly is the best."

"Don was so sweet, supportive, and helpful. He really took time out with me & my husband while we were deciding on a final resting place for my brother. He made the situation a little more easier with his wit, kind words, & sunny disposition."

"Worst cemetery in Alabama. Expensive and they assured me I could be buried next to my husband but days later after my brother in law changed his mind after we both signed and laid my husband to rest because he was left out of the Will. The cemetery helped me design a double footstone, paid in full, placed it upside down over my husbands head then removed it. Now they say it will be first come first served..I inherited my husband’s 50% share of the 38 remaining plots with the brother in law and now he wants my spot . They also had me come to the cemetery and sign for a woman from church to be buried in one of the remaining plots , the brother in law pressured me in donating it and I had to sign along with him. It was a intimidation tactic the cemetery went along with and now 3 years later my husband has no marker, his grave is still clay red like it’s being tampered with and I was told to leave the office when I complained because I asked to record our conversation.. I paid over 20k for a funeral and vault from this place and I’ve been treated like garbage.. I don’t recommend putting your loved ones here. I was told nobody owns any of these plots. The cemetery does and you will not have any rights if you piss off anyone that works there"
