"My family camped at this location for one night and had an amazing experience. We camped at the H6 spot and it was really nice. It had electricity, water, and a nice covered picnic area with tables. This was a really good place to tent camp as a family and there was an option to sleep on a hammock. We hiked to the old historic location and had a great time. The bathroom was nice and clean and had a heater."

"Nice state park with a lot of trails located right next to Kings Mountain National Military Park. There are two parts. The historic farm has its own parking lot and a restroom. The other part has a lake and playground with picnic area right near the campground. Our family wouldn't chose to swim there, but fishing and kayaking there are fun."

"Kings Mountain State Park is a place my husband and I enjoy for a weekend getaway. We bring our eBikes and enjoy riding to the Kings Mountain Battlefield site and museum, as well as the historic farm. We have hiked the shorter trails. I understand there’s great hiking on the longer trails as well. We have camped there in both of winter and summer in our shuttle bus camper conversion (the green machine). There is plenty of shade and ample sites to choose from. The bathrooms closest to the trading post have been updated. There are lots of things for kids to do, including playgrounds, canoeing in the pond, and an activity area behind the trading post. It’s a great place to go!"
