I had a great time volunteering to beautify the Lake Mead National Park visitor center with @eileen.e.garza @mrsnevadaearth !! Together we pulled out invasive plant species that were taking water away from the native plant life. We also collected eight large bags of dead grass out of the garden. It is so important in a hot state like Nevada to dispose of any dead or dry plants, this is because the...

Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Alan Bible Visitor Center a clean, welcoming stop with friendly and knowledgeable rangers who offer great advice. It's praised as a convenient place to get park passport stamps and learn about Lake Mead, though some note the lake's low water levels can make access tricky. The native plant garden is a pleasant addition. Reddit+1

"The visitor center is a bit smaller, but it is clean and has a nice shop, a small information/museum area, and bathrooms. The lake itself was beautiful despite the low water level. The water was clear and there was no smell of rotting organic matter. Finding the dock you're trying to park at is difficult though. There aren't any signs and the roads are dirt once you get close."
