In contrast, Clayton Beach in Washington offers a serene natural escape with beautiful coastal views and easy hiking trails. Visitors praise the vibrant party scene at the Texas location and the tranquil beauty of the Washington spot.
"We visited Clayton Beach at Larrabee State Park, accessing it from the Lost Lake parking lot. The trail down is only about a quarter mile with a gentle slope, making it an easy walk. At the end you find a tucked-away sandy beach with gorgeous views of the bay and surrounding cliffs. It does seem to be a fairly popular spot, but still has a relaxed feel. A great place to unwind, especially on a weekday when it’s a little quieter."
Mary Lindstrom
"Very cool !! Great place to take a tiny hike with minimal terrain! Lots of different nooks and crannies to explore. And then there is the actual Clayton Beach itself which is a real Beach combination of sand and Pebbles. the water's pretty clean although there is some grass and things floating on top but not too bad. There is a waterfall around here too. You can park on road for free or in the lost lake parking lot."

"Just a short stroll off of the Chuckanut and you are in another part of heaven. Spectacular scenery, nature at its finest!"
