"20241210 I wasn't sure if I should drive 72 from Nashville to just walk around the Arboretum with my pups. I am really glad that I did. I emailed about the pet policy, and the lady responder was so nice, and dogs are allowed in the gardens. I was the only visitor there today, and I had such a relaxing and quiet time walking around the gardens, checking out the Baker House and museum through the windows. The garden is pretty small but there is a lot to see. I was more interested in seeing the layout of the gardens and plants, the unique rocks and their placement, and the sculptures. The Baker home was not fancy like some mansions I've visited, but it's still very nice. It was nice to be able to look inside and check out the furniture, drapes, artwork, etc... through the windows. Apparently, you can rent the Baker house for events. There is a map of the property on a huge board by the parking lot, and a donation box. The restrooms are by the parking lot near the museum in its own building. I'm happy that I stopped by. I had a nice time."

"Beautiful grounds with a smaller art gallery within it. The Baker house was beautiful from the outside and a gardener/groundskeeper there had us rub the buttered popcorn plant and smell the popcorn smell, and that was super cool. Gorgeous flowers, would be an awesome spot to have a wedding or event at."
