Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Boy Scout Tree Trail for its breathtaking redwood scenery and profound sense of tranquility. Many describe it as one of the most beautiful places on Earth, with the towering trees and quiet atmosphere creating an almost spiritual experience. Some note the trail's roots can make for challenging footing, and the drive to the trailhead requires caution.

"Getting there early paid off- had the forest to ourselves. Easily top 3 most beautiful places on earth IMHO. Hello Endor! More difficult hiking out than in. Definitely recommend arriving early, wearing hiking boots & bringing protein & plenty of hydration."

"This is such a cool hike!

I did it around dusk and I was just going to go a short way, but it was hard to stop going - incredibly cool how a lot of the light gets blocked out by the huge trees and I've been in some silent forests, but this is one of the most quiet hikes I've ever done. As Darkness crept in, a mist swept in and started to envelope the upper trees, definitely Missing - 411 territory.

Herman Melville wrote "God's one and only true sound is silence" and if you're looking for God and silence, this is a great spot to stop at!

Also, the drive through the Redwoods is one of the coolest winding drives I've ever taken - if you continue to go the long way out on Hwy. 199."

"What a beautiful place. Not to difficult of a hike, about five miles round trip. The roots in the trail are all over so you have to be careful.. but you don’t see Redwoods like this everyday."
