What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests praise the Historic Brookdale Lodge for its unique charm, friendly staff, and spacious rooms, highlighting the stream in the lounge and the beautiful redwood surroundings. However, some visitors have noted issues with room cleanliness, particularly carpet grime and bathroom maintenance, and inconsistent operating hours for on-site dining facilities.
"Not only is this place a hidden gem with a lot of history but the staff is phenomenal. When I arrived I was greeted very professionally by the front desk employee Chris! This guy was the nicest and most polite gentleman I’ve ever met at a hotel. He has a great attitude and was overwhelmingly helpful and courteous. Along with him were the housekeeping ladies who were also very polite and helpful. Then you have the entire staff at the restaurant next to the office. The guys and girls in there were also very enthusiastic about helping me with food options and information about the hotel. If you’re in the area this is definitely the place you want to spend your money on. The rooms are huge with comfortable beds and plenty of amenities. They have a convenient store here as well which is very… convenient. Brookdale lodge knows how to treat their customers! I would recommend this place to everyone!!!"

The staff was more than accommodating, bartenders were quick, support for food, beverage and all our decorations - amazing. No one does it better. Puppy friendly rooms made the whole experience wonderful and memorable."

"We spent a few days at the Brookdale Lodge for my son’s wedding. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were extremely clean. The diner on the property was a cute hangout and the food options were great. We had 30 family and multiple friends staying and not one person was disappointed."
