What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Brooklyn Bridge Park Boathouse for its incredible value, offering free kayaking with breathtaking skyline views. The volunteer staff are often highlighted as friendly and helpful, making it a memorable experience for all. Some minor drawbacks include potential reservation system glitches and limited paddling areas.
"First of all it's still free and a fun activity for families or friends to cool down!
Good potential, but a bit grumpy helpers. Awesome view to downtown but be aware that you can't leave the small area around the pier. Also they had a reservation website for the queue, which you should visit then you arrive there, but there is no functional wifi around (if you don't have mobile internet). Waiting times changes strongly, depends on how long the other guests are on the water."

"Definitely recommend the place. It is completely free too because of the helpful volunteers. Had a good time today kayaking! Book online a week in advance as the spots go real quick. If you're lucky, you may get a spot if you walk in and someone cancelled. Would be going back with a friend eventually. Donate if you can!"
Suhas Dara
"Definitely had a blast. Went kayaking for a little afterwork fun. The volunteers were very friendly, informational, and helpful. I must do 😁"
