Glacier National Park Day 4: Drove the Going-to-the-Sun Road from the Fish Creek Campground. The views were epic in the daytime, but the traffic is slow and parking a Logan Pass was almost impossible. We toured the Visitor Center while husband circled for a parking spot. Finally we started the hike to the Hidden Lake Overlook. The hike down to the lake was closed due to reported grizzly bear activ...

Reviews Summary

Logan Pass Visitor Center is a breathtaking hub for iconic Glacier National Park hikes and wildlife viewing, but parking is a significant challenge. Visitors rave about the stunning alpine scenery and the chance to see mountain goats and bighorn sheep, though the limited parking and potential crowds can detract from the experience.

"The Logan pass is a very popular place as it is a starting point for many beautiful trails in Glacier. We visited this place twice on our trip in July2025. One day we visited on a Friday around 7.00 PM and the parking was easy as most of the people were leaving at that time. We did the Hidden Pass Overlook trail and it was a great trail and by time we returned it was 9.00 PM and still there was abundant Sunlight which was a plus point.

The next day we arrived around 9.00 AM , we were hoping to be there by 8.00 AM given the difficulty of parking. However we got lucky and took one round, and we were able to acquire a spot. I would say be patient and make few rounds before you can
find a place as at that point people who came in early might be leaving already. Its all about patience and luck. We did the highline trail from here and again this trail
was one of the gorgeous trail
I have ever been to, specially the wild flowers took the whole trail to next level.

Logan pass is well known for spotting Mountain goats , we were fortunate enough to see a whole family of goats.

Overall Logan Pass is a great place to be let it be for hiking some amazing trails , or to watch mountain goats or to be at the highest elevation point in Glacier."

"Beautiful visitor center that has stunning views. Connects to hidden lake overlook hike as well as high line trail. Bathrooms are not the cleanest (as with most national parks) and parking is a battle! If you’re coming in the morning- come as early as you can- we waited 1+hour at 7am but it was worth it. :)"

"We went on Wednesday, 9/16/25, which is after peak season. We pulled in the parking lot and my husband said, you go ahead in the Visitors center and I will look for a parking space. I walked up the path and took pictures of the mountains. Then I went into the Visitors Center and looked around the gift shop, then I went and talked to a Ranger. Then I walked out toward the parking lot and saw my husband, who was still driving around the parking lot for 25 minutes and he never found a parking space. So we left. This was ridiculous."
